The 23-year-old initially joined the Magpies on loan from the Seagulls in January 2020.

He had signed for Weston in June 2019 after completing a four-year scholarship in the USA.

The imposing 6`3” centre-back, who is also capable of playing in central midfield, came through the ranks with Exeter City and upon completing his scholarship was not offered a contract and left the Grecians in 2015.

He made the move to American university Franklin Pierce during the latter part of 2015.

He took up majoring in sports management while also taking a 4-year scholarship with the team.

During his four years at the university, he made 40 appearances and scored 5 goals before returning to England and signing for the Seagulls.

Manager Leigh Robinson told https://dorchestertownfc.co.uk: “Even though he didn’t end up playing many games with us last year on loan from Weston due to injury and the season being cancelled early, it was clear to everyone that Charlie is a quality player and exactly what we are looking for defensively.

“He’s a strong ball winner, great at covering the ground and very professional too in the way he looks after himself and conducts himself. We’re really pleased to have him at the club on a permanent basis”.
