Ryan Stanners has switched from newly-promoted Evo-Stik Southern League West side Highworth Town.

The former Swindon Supermarine and Royal Wootton Bassett Town player made 42 appearances for the Worthians during their promotion-winning campaign last season, including 39 starts and he scored 1 goal.

Shrivenham manager Gareth Davies told http://www.shrivenhamfc.co.uk/: “We’re really happy that we’ve managed to get him here at Shrivenham, and I think he’ll be a huge asset to us.”

Another player joining the Barrington Park outfit is Scott Chilcott from Shrivvy's former Hellenic League Division One West rivals Pewsey Vale.

Chilton, who is comfortable in a variety of roles, began his career at centre-back as a trainee with Reading. However, he is equally as comfortable up front and was an integral cog in last season’s successful Pewsey Vale side, who were also involved in the promotion race right up to the tail end of the season.

“We tried to get him here last season, but he was committed to Pewsey Vale so we’re delighted that we’ve managed to get his signature this season,” Davies continued. “He’s another player that has a real quality about him, he can play anywhere and he’s superb to have around the club.”

Fraser Little, last season’s young player of the year has also re-signed for Shrivvy.

Little made 23 appearances during the promotion campaign, taking him to 79 appearances for the club over the last three seasons.

Little said: "The gaffer said that he wanted me back and I wanted to stay at the club, it’s as simple as that. I felt that my game really improved last season under the club's management team”.
