They have signed
left-back Nathan Simms and midfielder Jordi Mulvaney from Uhlsport Hellenic
League Premier Division side Oxford City Nomads – the development team of
Vanarama National League South outfit Oxford City.
Simms and Mulvaney
join Ben Brown and Martin Griggs in joining the Oxfordshire outfit this season.
Brown is a big
strong imposing central defender who was a scholar at Reading before spending
three years as a professional with Queens Park Rangers and then with
Hayes & Yeading United, Oxford
City and Burnham.
He returns to North
Leigh for a second spell, having played 14 games during the 2015/16 season.
He has since been on
the books at Cirencester Town and Kidlington.
Griggs is a
29-year-old striker who joined North Leigh from Spartan South Midlands League
Division One side Risborough Rangers, for who he scored 38 goals in 47 games
last season.
He had three spells
with Risborough, sandwiched between stints at Amersham Town, Tring Athletic,
Aylesbury FC and Leighton Town. |
