A former Motherwell player, Brown has played under Collins at both Chatham Town and Cray Valley PM

The 27-year-old trained with the squad last week – leaving boss James Collins happy with competition for places in most areas of the pitch.

Collins told https://www.favershamtownfc.co.uk: “Grant is a player who has been with me at most clubs, and for sure I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for some of the performances he put in for me in my early years of management.

“I think he perhaps fell out of love with the game for a bit. We spoke in the summer, and he has come in with us and looks sharp.

“He’s another player who brings something different to the table. He started as a young pro at Motherwell and is a set piece specialist.

“It’s another important signing, as Grant will also add a bit of experience to our young squad”.
