....fifteen of last season`s squad have re-signed for the new campaign ahead.

In addition, returning to Diamonds after a season with new league rivals Biggleswade Town is striker Jack Bowen.

Bowen arrived at the Carlsberg Stadium from Vanarama National League North outfit Brackley Town last summer.

He had previously been top scorer at United Counties League Premier Division side Cogenhoe United and appeared for Diamonds in two other spells.

Last season Bowen netted 8 goals at Step 3 level for the Waders.

Re-joining Diamonds are Ben Heath, Callum Westwood, skipper Liam Dolman, long-serving Sam Brown, Ben Ford, Jack Westbrook, Joe Curtis, Ross Oulton, Ben Farrell, Tom Lorraine, Ben Diamond, John Dean, Cameron Gilchrist, Jack Ashton and Blaize Punter, who have all put pen-to-paper for 2018/19.

Peaks spoke to www.afcdiamonds.com: “I am delighted with the numbers of the squad have committed to next season, they have all deserved the opportunity to test themselves at the higher level, I am also pleased that Jack Bowen has agreed to re-join the club.

“All other members of last season squad have received offers to stay with the club and those offers still stand, although we may lose one or two who want to test themselves at a higher level.

“I have a few triallists who have impressed in training and I’m looking forward to seeing them take part in pre-season”.
