Southern Counties East League Division One club Snodland Town have stepped up their preparations for the 2020/21 season by unveiling the bulk of a new-look squad.

Manager Luke Wallond has added several new players to form a squad able to compete for promotion.

 

Arriving at Potyn’s Field are

 

Lee Sayer, a defender who joins Snodland after a strong season for Kent County League side Borden Village.

 

Dan Ashton follows the manager from Staplehurst Monarchs having played 24 games last term from midfield.

 

Sam Winch is a former K Sports frontman, who netted 31 goals in 19 games for Staplehurst last season.

 

Midfielder Adam Turton played 15 games for Kent County Division One side Thanet United last term, while Lewis Stevens-Toomey is another from Thanet, who will add strength to the Snodland defence and Niall Salisbury completes the trio from Thanet. He scored 5 goals from midfield last season.

 

Brad Webb scored 7 times for Borden Village last term and will be competing for a midfield spot.

 

Reece Hunt is another on course to win the title with Staplehurst, until the season came to an early end due to COVID-19.

 

Jim Matthews (pictured) returns to Snodland but played 23 times for Staplehurst last time.

 

Josh Brown is an attacking threat that is one of many to make the move from Staplehurst.

 

Will Phillips-Reid is another former Staplehurst Monarchs player who was captain who effectively led them to back-to-back titles.

 

Omar Elmantawy netted 15 goals in 19 games for Staplehurst, while Scott Higgins was `Mr Versatile` for Staplehurst, scoring 9 goals last term.

 

Steve Sage racked up 27 appearances for the Spartans.
