Warrington Bring in Carney
Northern Premier League Premier Division club Warrington Town have announced the signing of midfielder Craig Carney for the 2020/21 season.

The 27-year-old arrives at Cantilever Park having spent the last campaign with league rivals FC United of Manchester and then NPL Division One North West outfit Clitheroe.

 

Carney is an experienced creative midfielder who joined Clitheroe in October 2019 from FC United.

 

He had signed for the Reds from Marine AFC in May 2019.

 

He started out as a youngster at Southport and has played for Kendal Town, Bamber Bridge, Northwich Victoria, Squires Gate and Lancaster City.

 

He made 47 appearances for the Mariners in 2018/19, scoring 7 goals.
