Wafula Earns New Pilgrims Deal

Midfielder Jonathan Wafula has put pen-to-paper on a new deal with Vanarama National league North club Boston United.

The 24-year-old, who scored once in nine appearances for the Pilgrims towards the end of the 2017/18 campaign, will remain a part of Craig Elliott's squad moving forward.

Wafula joined the Pilgrims from then-league rivals Gainsborough Trinity, having previously appeared for Chesterfield, Worksop Town and Shaw Lane AFC, where he played under Elliott.

Wafula marked signing his new deal by playing a leading role in the Pilgrims' opening pre-season fixture against Basford United on Thursday evening.
