The
29-year-old helped Linnets to take the final step to the North West Counties
League title after a number of near misses.
Upon
promotion, he also played a big part in ensuring that the Linnets settled
quickly and effectively into Northern Premier League life.
The
vastly experienced player is an excellent reader of the game. He is also a
set-piece specialist in and around the box.
He
had joined for the second half of Linnets title-winning NWCL season - arriving
in January 2018 from Trafford, after joining them in the summer of 2017.
He
had spent 2016/17 at Colwyn Bay, signing from Skelmersdale United.
He
started out, however, at Tranmere Rovers in 2007, staying for two years.
An
initial stint with Colwyn Bay ended in 2010 with a switch to Warrington Town.
In
late 2011, he joined Skem for the first time and was instrumental in their
successful push for promotion to the NLP Premier Division.
In
April 2014, he was recognised with a place in the NPL First Division North's 'team
of the year' before heading to Australia to sign for Shepparton United.
Marine
AFC was his first stop on returning to England, prior to second spells at Skem,
Colwyn Bay and then Runcorn Linnets. |
