National League South side Dartford were beaten 5-0 at Princes Park by Championship visitors Millwall.

Jed Wallace opened the scoring early on with a free-kick before doubling his tally and the Lions' advantage shortly after the half-hour mark.

A quick flurry of goals then saw firstly Aiden O'Brien and then Mahlon Romeo find the net, before Steve Morison tapped home a rebound from Wallace's missed penalty just before the break.

League One Portsmouth ran out 2-1 winners at Dartford`s new league rivals Havant & Waterlooville.

National League South newcomers Dulwich Hamlet beat Essex Senior League Walthamstow 6-0.

Michael Chambers, Dipo Akinyemi, Ibrahim Kargbo and Byron Lawrence were all on the mark.

Two Hamlet triallists also got in on the act.

Braintree Town, who came back up alongside Dulwich, were 4-0 winners at Thurlow Nunn Leaguers Newmarket Town.

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League new boys Bamber Bridge were beaten 7-0 at Irongate by a strong side from Championship Preston North End.

Sean Maguire scored a hat-trick as Preston cruised to victory.

Five of the seven goals came in the first half, Maguire netting his treble in a 20-minute spell, with Billy Bodin and new boy Graham Burke on target.

Louis Moult and Josh Harrop netted after the interval, and the visitors even had the luxury of missing a penalty, Harrop's spot-kick clipping the bar before he made up for the miss with the last-gasp seventh goal.

Brig`s new league rivals, relegated Gainsborough Trinity, were beaten 2-0 at The Northolme by League One Barnsley.
