Midfielder
Tom Howard joined Chelsea at under-8 level and appeared for the club at every
possible academy age level.
However,
despite making it through to under-18 and under-21 level, it wasn't enough to
earn him a professional contract and his eleven-year stay at Chelsea ended at
the culmination of the 2012/13 season.
He
joined Metropolitan Police after his release from Stamford Bridge and them had
a successful couple of seasons under current K`s boss Hayden Bird at Merstham.
Taken
back on at Chelsea as an academy coach, he left the Moatsiders to play for
Ashford Town (Middx) but his playing career was put on hold slightly as his
coaching took up more time.
Re-joining
the K`s just days after helping Dorking Wanderers in the Vanarama National
League South play-offs is striker Elliott Buchanan.
The
31-year-old`s return to the Surrey outfit will be welcomed by supporters as he
was hugely popular in his first spell with the club.
He
began his career with Stevenage Borough and moved on to enjoy spells with Hayes
& Yeading United, Newport County, Bromley, Bishop`s Stortford, Margate and
Chelmsford City.
He
joined Staines Town in July 2017 and won the `golden boot` in the Isthmian
Premier, scoring 39 league goals.
He
left the Swans for Kingstonian in May 2018 and then joined Dorking Wanderers in
February 2019, helping them to promotion to the National League South.
Joining
Buchanan (pictured) in making the switch from Dorking is left-sided midfielder Tom
Richards.
The
25-year-old who started out at Fulham before making a senior debut on loan with
AFC Wimbledon in 2014.
He
signed a permanent deal with Aldershot Town in 2015 after a nine-game loan
spell and added 25 games to his tally.
He
then spent six months with Austrian fourth-tier side FC Kitzbühel before
returning to England and joining Walton Casuals, Welling United and then
Leatherhead.
He
signed for Dorking in July 2018 and helped them to promotion to the National
League South. |
