Midfielder Tom Howard joined Chelsea at under-8 level and appeared for the club at every possible academy age level.

However, despite making it through to under-18 and under-21 level, it wasn't enough to earn him a professional contract and his eleven-year stay at Chelsea ended at the culmination of the 2012/13 season.

He joined Metropolitan Police after his release from Stamford Bridge and them had a successful couple of seasons under current K`s boss Hayden Bird at Merstham.

Taken back on at Chelsea as an academy coach, he left the Moatsiders to play for Ashford Town (Middx) but his playing career was put on hold slightly as his coaching took up more time.

Re-joining the K`s just days after helping Dorking Wanderers in the Vanarama National League South play-offs is striker Elliott Buchanan.

The 31-year-old`s return to the Surrey outfit will be welcomed by supporters as he was hugely popular in his first spell with the club.

He began his career with Stevenage Borough and moved on to enjoy spells with Hayes & Yeading United, Newport County, Bromley, Bishop`s Stortford, Margate and Chelmsford City.

He joined Staines Town in July 2017 and won the `golden boot` in the Isthmian Premier, scoring 39 league goals.

He left the Swans for Kingstonian in May 2018 and then joined Dorking Wanderers in February 2019, helping them to promotion to the National League South.

Joining Buchanan (pictured) in making the switch from Dorking is left-sided midfielder Tom Richards.

The 25-year-old who started out at Fulham before making a senior debut on loan with AFC Wimbledon in 2014.

He signed a permanent deal with Aldershot Town in 2015 after a nine-game loan spell and added 25 games to his tally.

He then spent six months with Austrian fourth-tier side FC Kitzbühel before returning to England and joining Walton Casuals, Welling United and then Leatherhead.

He signed for Dorking in July 2018 and helped them to promotion to the National League South.
