Remarkable Harrogate Story Continues in the Football League
Goals from George Thomson, Connor Hall and Jack Diamond either side of half-time created history as Harrogate Town’s 3-1 win over Notts County at Wembley today earned them promotion to the Football League for the first time.

The remarkable rise of the Yorkshire spa town saw them win the Vanarama National League Promotion Final behind closed doors.

Not even a second half comeback from County – one of the oldest clubs in the country - could deny them as Diamond’s 70th minute strike sealed the victory.

Now work has to begin on digging up Harrogate`s 3G pitch at the CNG Stadium - something which has helped the club hugely financially but is not allowed in the Football League.
