Former Norwich Midfielder Becomes A Yachtsman
Midfielder Simon Lappin has agreed to join Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division club Wroxham as a player-coach for the new season.

Lappin joins the Yachtsmen from Evo-Stik Southern League Central side King`s Lynn Town.

 

He arrived at The Walks last October and made 39 appearances for the Linnets and scored 3 goals.

 

A former Scottish under-21 international with ten caps, Lappin began his career with St Mirren before moving to Norwich City in 2007.

 

He played over 100 games for the Canaries, playing a key role in the Championship-winning side in 2010 and in the Premier League.

 

He had short loan spells at Motherwell and Cardiff City before moving to Cardiff permanently in 2013.

 

He had a loan spell with Sheffield United, before playing for St Johnstone from 2014 to 2016.

 

Lappin played for then-Vanarama National League side York City from 2016 to 2017 until joining King`s Lynn alongside former Norwich team-mate Grant Holt.
