Joining
as player-coach is former Dorking Wanderers` skipper David Ray (pictured).
The
35-year-old is an experienced defender best known for his years at Basingstoke
Town where he played over 300 times.
He
joined Dorking Wanderers in July 2017 and led them to the Isthmian Premier
Division title in 2019 and their subsequent promotion to the Vanarama National
League South where they reached the play-off semi-finals last month.
He
also had stints at Carshalton Athletic and Farnborough in-between.
Joining
Ray in moving from Dorking and back for a second spell with the Hornets is
34-year-old midfielder Lewis Taylor.
Taylor
first joined Horsham in 2006 from Whyteleafe, having been on the books of
Fulham and AFC Wimbledon as a youngster, and went on to score 22 goals in 91
appearances before returning to the Dons and helping them reach the Conference
National en-route to the Football League.
He
has also played for Margate, Carshalton Athletic, Bromley, Kingstonian and
Whitehawk, as well as loan spells at East Grinstead Town and Horsham YMCA, and
scored the goals that earned both Tonbridge Angels and Dorking Wanderers
promotion to the National League.
The
other new arrival is Doug Tuck from league rivals Bognor Regis Town.
Tuck
was at Brighton & Hove Albion for two years before joining Bognor in 2014.
Tuck,
who played regularly for the England Colleges team, has superb ability on the
ball and has scored some valuable goals.
Nephew
of former Brighton and Bognor center-half Stuart Tuck, he made over 300
appearances for the Rocks. |
