Two
former favourites in Aidan Bennett and Ellis Dunton return to the Corinium
Stadium.
Bennett (pictured) is a 27-year-old defender who joined Cirencester at the age of 6 and played at
all age groups up to under-16 before moving into the academy.
A
versatile player with a fierce shot in either foot and is a strong tackler, he
is able to play on either side of the pitch as a defender, midfielder or
forward but prefers a more adventurous role.
He
has made in excess of 350 appearances and netted over 60 goals for Ciren before
moving to Uhlsport Hellenic League side Fairford Town in November 2019.
Dunton
returns to the Corinium Stadium for a third time, also from Fairford.
He
started out with the Centurians and, apart from a short spell with Chippenham
Town in 2014/15, has made over 250 appearances for the club, scoring 26 goals.
Rogers
James arrives from Southern Division One Central outfit North Leigh.
James
originally came up through the youth ranks at North Leigh and developed into a
dangerous winger who has a good deal of pace.
He
left the Millers for a spell with league rivals Kidlington before returning to
North Leigh in 2018.
Midfielder
Benny Hands has also joined Cirencester after being on the books at league
rivals Slimbridge.
Hands
suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in November 2018 whilst playing for
the Swans but is now back to full fitness.
He
was previously with Bishops Cleeve and Slimbridge. |
