Thirty-year-old Matty Kay is an attacking midfielder who has re-joined Mossley from Hallmark Security League Premier Division outfit West Didsbury & Chorlton for a second spell at Seel Park.

He originally graduated through the youth set-up at Rochdale and then had spells with Ashton United, Woodley Sports and Ramsbottom United.

Kay originally joined the Lilywhites from Salford City back in February 2009 and the two following seasons saw him finish as top scorer with 29 and 18 goals respectively and was also voted supporters` player of the year in 2010.

He transferred to Curzon Ashton in the closed season of 2011 helping them to the NPL title in 2013 before having spells with both FC United of Manchester and Trafford.

Kay has since continued his excellent goalscoring record whilst netting 43 goals in 103 appearances for West Didsbury over the last three seasons.

Danny Byrnes is a 21-year-old attacking midfielder who originally joined Mossley upon his release by Oldham Athletic in December 2016.

A former Wales under-16, 17 and under-19 international, Byrnes left the Lilywhites for Clitheroe in August 2017 after making 11 appearances.
