All players from last season`s squad have been retained, apart from striker Kai Hancock, who has moved to Nostell Miners Welfare, Dan Vinten, who has joined Worsbrough Bridge and Cam Clarke, who has stepped up a division with Evo-Stik Northern Premier League East outfit Belper Town.
Meanwhile, Potter has announced four new signings in left-back Sam Hanna, midfielders Josh Wright and Kieran Scargill and striker Kane Reece.
Hanna is a defender who came through Sheffield United and Barnsley academy before signing for Frickley Athletic and ended the 2016/17 season at Sheffield FC.
He joined Goole AFC a year ago but left towards the end of September and signed for Rec`s league rivals Parkgate.
Wright joins the Rec from Worsbrough Bridge where he had been managing the side as well as playing.
He has also had spells with Ossett Albion and Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Barnsley academy graduate Scargill returns to the Rec where he played for a number of years until spending the last couple of seasons with Handsworth Parramore and then Pontefract Collieries, who he helped to promotion to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League East at the end of last season.
Reece also joins from Pontefract.
The Barnsley-born forward won two promotions with Colls and has also had spells with Shaw Lane AFC and Worsbrough Bridge.
