Lewis Gilboy joins Andy Welsh's squad following his release from SkyBet League One side Accrington Stanley last month.

The 20-year-old Liverpudlian signed his first professional contract with Stanley last summer.

Gilboy has non-League experience, however, having played 10 games for City of Liverpool last season in the Northern Premier League Division One North West before the season came to an abrupt end due to the pandemic.

Winger George Blackwell arrives from NWCL Premier Division side West Didsbury & Chorlton.

The 24-year-old has great experience of the level, having played at New Mills, Stockport Town, Cheadle Heath Nomads as well as West Didsbury.

Central midfielder Kristian Holt was a team-mate of Blackwell`s at West Didsbury before re-joining Northern Premier League Premier Division side Atherton Collieries in December 2019.

Holt (pictured) followed West`s former boss Brad Cooke to Colls, having joined him in the summer of 2019 from NPL Division One North West side Runcorn Linnets.

He made 98 appearances for the Linnets and left West following 17 appearances and 2 goals.

The move to Collieries is a return to an old stomping ground for Holt, having turned out – alongside Cooke – for them, with his last appearance in an Atherton shirt just over two years ago when the club were taking on their first season in the NPL North, leaving to help earn Linnets promotion from the NWCL Premier Division.

Striker Aaron Dwyer joins from rivals Wythenshawe Town.

The 24-year-old has plenty of experience across the north west non-League scene, having previously turned out for the likes of Cheadle Town, Stockport Town, Mossley AFC and New Mills.

He also had a spell at Curzon Ashton, playing in the Vanarama National League North.
