As
well as re-signing a handful of players from the 2019/20 squad, Holloway has
also brought in a number of new faces.
Experienced
goalkeeper Rob Budd (pictured), who was with Canvey Island last season, has signed for the
Hawks.
The
32-year-old numbers Sheppey United, Thamesmead Town, Herne Bay, Romford,
Brentwood Town, VCD Athletic and AFC Hornchurch amongst his former clubs.
He
signed for Isthmian North side Hullbridge Sports in July 2019 but a month or so
later was on the move again – this time back to Herne Bay before returning to
Essex with Canvey Island in November 2019.
At
the other end of the pitch, Warren Kayembe also joins the Hawks.
The
striker has featured for Romford, Ware, Grays Athletic, Coggeshall Town and,
towards the end of last season, Basildon United.
Also
bolstering the attack is 34-year-old L'heureux Menga.
He
is a strong forward player with experience at a number of clubs, including
Dagenham and Redbridge, Gainsborough Trinity, Shepshed Dynamo, Welling United,
East Thurrock United, Grays Athletic, Harrow Borough, Farnborough, AFC Sudbury,
Barking, Cheshunt and Witham Town.
George
Doyle has also signed forms for Harlow.
The
23-year-old midfielder re-joined Isthmian Premier club Brightlingsea Regent in
September 2019 from Grays Athletic.
He
had only signed for Grays from Isthmian North rivals Aveley in June 2019.
A
hardworking central midfielder, he joined Aveley from Brightlingsea Regent in
October 2017.
After
starting out with Norwich City and Cambridge United as a youngster, he has gone
on to have spells with Concord Rangers, Heybridge Swifts and Brightlingsea.
Ahmet
Biler, a product of the Southend United academy, has also checked into the
Arena.
He
is a left-back with plenty of pace and the ability to run with the ball.
Along
with twin brother Huyesin, they both trialled with Watford before Ahmet signed
for Southend.
Ruaridh Kay is another defender
to sign for the Hawks.
He
plays on the right side of the pitch and has played for Haringey Borough after
previous spells with Kentish Town, Hadley and Waltham Abbey.
Dominic
Clatworthy also joins the Hawks defence.
He
is a right-back that has represented Colchester United and Wales at youth
level.
The
former Millfield School student was due to go to McKendree University in
Illinois on a soccer scholarship before COVID-19. |
