Veteran Centre-Back Joins Witton

Northern Premier League Premier Division club Witton Albion have signed vastly experienced defender Steve McNulty.

The 36-year-old veteran centre-back joined Vanarama National League North club York City after leaving newly promoted SkyBet League One side Tranmere Rovers in June 2019.

He was captain of the Tranmere side that beat Newport County at Wembley in the League Two play-off final in May 2019 and made 153 appearances them.

He has won six promotions with four different clubs – Barrow AFC, Fleetwood Town, Luton Town, and Tranmere - and clocked up nearly 650 career appearances.

Earlier in his career he played for Burscough and Vauxhall Motors after coming through the ranks at Liverpool.
