Arnold
will join current boss Simon Daws at the helm at The Lawn.
The
33-year-old former England C international was with league rivals Melton Town
last season.
Arnold
left then-Vanarama National League North side Altrincham in 2019 after almost
nine months out of the game.
Arnold,
who won promotion from the National League in consecutive seasons with Grimsby
Town and Lincoln City, left Sincil Bank in the summer of 2018 when his contract
was terminated by mutual consent.
He
then joined Boston United, but left in early October 2018.
After
helping Grimsby win the 2016 National League play-off final, Arnold joined the
Imps in the summer of 2016 and was a key man as the Imps won promotion back to
the Football League and reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
His
memorable goals included the late winner against Ipswich Town in the Third Round
and his stunning later winner at Gateshead, which all but secured City the
National League title.
After
starting his career with Mansfield Town, for whom he went on to make over 100
appearances and score 13 goals, Arnold has also turned out for Hyde United,
Alfreton Town and Cambridge United. |
