He
has captured the signature of Josh Brizell (pictured), following impressive displays in
pre-season.
The
28-year-old started his career at Rochdale before moving on to Hyde United in
the National League and National League North, making 119 appearances for the
Tigers and scoring 8 goals.
He
joined Marine AFC, then in the Northern Premier League's top-flight, in 2016.
Able
to play as a right back or centre-back, he moved to Colwyn Bay in August 2017.
He
has also worn the colours of AFC Telford United and Glossop North End.
McIntyre
has also drafted in two of his young proteges on loan from National League
North neighbours Chester FC, where both are on professional forms.
Midfielder
Louis Hayes was with Linnets on loan last season, while joining him at The
Millbank is striker Stuart Crilly.
Crilly
has played for Chester in the Cheshire Senior Cup and spent time on loan last
season with Linnets` league rivals Prescot Cables and North West Counties
League Premier Division outfit Rylands (now Warrington Rylands 1906).
Hailing
from Liverpool, Crilly is a versatile midfielder with a keen eye for goal,
having joined Chester from Oldham Athletic in March 2017.
Hayes
gave a very good account of himself at Linnets last term, showing great energy,
physicality and maturity.
He
has also already featured in Chester's first team, having signed for the city
club from Blackburn Rovers in May 2017.
Both
signed first senior deals at their parent club last year, being promoted from
the academy side managed by McIntyre. |
