Hickman
has previously been with league rivals Newcastle Town and played with another
of the new recruits, Jack Bromfield, at Staffordshire County Senior League side
Redgate Clayton last season.
He
has played in three out of the five pre-season friendlies so far and scored a
fantastic goal in the 3-1 win over Knutsford and, then he netted a brace in the
emphatic victory over Eastwood Hanley in the Jimmy Wallace Memorial Trophy last
Friday.
When
commenting on the arrival of Hickman, Dundas (pictured) told the club`s press officer
Richard Scott: “He is a lad that played with my son Jack at Newcastle Town and
he was at Stafford Rangers under-21s. He was having a bit of a pre-season there
and a bit of a pre-season with us.
“He
has come in and has had a couple of 45 minutes with us. He has done well and,
he is only a young lad so he will be one for the future and we are keeping tabs
on him, so we will see how he progresses.”
