Raven Flies Into Marine
Northern Premier League Division One North West club Marine AFC have signed vastly experienced defender David Raven.

The 35-year-old joined NPL Premier Division side Warrington Town from Vanarama National League outfit Wrexham in July 2018.

 

He can play at right-back or centre-half and came through Liverpool`s academy after being at Tranmere Rovers and actually played three senior games for the Reds – including a man of the match display in a League Cup quarter-final win over Tottenham Hotspur in 2004 and had a loan spell with his original club, Tranmere.

 

He played more than 150 games in the Football League for Carlisle United and Shrewsbury Town, as well as a six-year spell in Scotland with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

 

He also represented England at under-18, 19 and under-20 level.
