The striker joins from Premier League Sheffield United on a deal until January 2021.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland Youth international striker has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blades but has just returned from international duty where he scored in a Euro qualifier against Malta under-21s.

Before lockdown, Parkhouse was on loan at SkyBet League Two side Stevenage but that was cut short due to COVID.

During the 2018/19 season he had a loan spell with Derry City where he scored 19 goals in 39 appearances for the League of Ireland Premier Division side.

Manager Dave Challinor told https://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk: “We are delighted to get David in. It is somewhere on the pitch we have been looking to strengthen and he provides us just that. He is a goal scorer and an under-21 international so I believe he can do very well in this league”.
