Carl
Mensah (pictured) has re-joined the Citizens.
The
24-year-old centre-back originally joined City from Colney Heath in 2015.
He
returned after a brief spell with Cockfosters in 2017 and then signed for
Spartan South Midlands League Premier side Tring Athletic in the summer of
2018.
He
re-joined Welwyn in June 2019 and then switched to league rivals Kempston
Rovers in January 2020 but quickly moved onto neighbours Bedford Town at the
end of the month.
Ironton
further strengthened his defensive ranks with the signing of full-back or
central defender Malcolm Podier from Isthmian League Premier Division side
Enfield Town.
Podier,
25, has also played with Northwood in the Isthmian South Central and played in
the Northern Premier League for Nottingham-based clubs Basford United and
Carlton Town, while studying at Nottingham Trent University
Ironton
has also added two wingers to his squad.
Former
Stevenage academy prospect Robbie Buchanan joins the Citizens having played for
Spartan South Midlands League Division One outfit Stotfold.
He
has previously played with Baldock Town and Biggleswade Town.
Fellow
winger Patrick Tshikala began his career with Vanarama National League South
side St Albans City and also had a spell with Southern Premier Division Central
outfit Hitchin Town.
Tshikala
spent last season with Isthmian League South Central side Hertford Town.
