Attacking
midfielder Brendan Ocran and goalkeeper James Bransgrove have both put
pen-to-paper for Basildon.
Ocran (pictured),
who turns 23 on September 20th, started his career with Barnet and
signed professional terms at Colchester United before being released and
joining Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division outfit Cockfosters.
He
was snapped up by Billericay Town in 2017 and enjoyed a successful loan period
away on loan at Kings Langley, making 25 appearances and scoring 3 goals and he
was also part of a selective England non-League select team who visited the
Falkland Islands in 2017/18.
He
also had spells at Needham Market, Northwood, Barking and Welwyn Garden City.
He
signed for Isthmian Premier side Merstham in June 2019 and then moved up a
level with Vanarama National League South outfit Braintree Town in December
2019.
Bransgrove
is a 25-year-old keeper who is actually on dual terms with United, having also
penned forms for Essex & Suffolk Border League outfit Dunmow Town earlier this
summer.
He
finished the 2019/20 season with Isthmian Premier side Bowers & Pitsea,
having joined from Essex Senior League side Walthamstow in February 2020.
He
started out with Waltham Abbey, from where he was spotted by Brentford and
taken to Griffin Park.
He
then moved on to Colchester United, and as well as being part of their first
team squad, had loans at Maldon & Tiptree, Bishop's Stortford and
Wealdstone.
He
was Coggeshall Town's keeper as they won promotion to the Isthmian League and
made 20 appearances in the Isthmian North during the first half of the 2018/19
season before moving on to Walthamstow. |
