Returning to the club is defender Adam Rooney (pictured).

The 23-year-old signed for the sadly now defunct Droylsden from Trafford in October 2019.

He had only joined the Greater Manchester outfit in August from North West Counties Division One South side Cammell Laird 1907.

Originally with SkyBet League One side Tranmere Rovers, where he mostly appeared in the under-18s, the centre-back spent a year with Skelmersdale United after being released by Rovers and then joined Bootle in July 2015.

He moved to Cammell Laird in the summer of 2017.

Another defender, James Neild, joins from Vanarama National League North side Curzon Ashton, although he was on dual registration with NPL Premier Division outfit Hyde United from October 2019.

The 19-year-old came through the ranks at League One side Rochdale.

After being released at the end of the 2018/19 season he trialled with Barnsley before signing for Curzon Ashton.

Forwards Michael Elstone and Oliver Ford have also arrived.

Elstone is a 21-year-old who signed for Curzon Ashton in July 2019 and then onto Hyde four months later.

The son of former Everton CEO Robert Elstone, he has been with Fulham under-23s and has also had spells at Crewe Alexandra and Welsh side Bangor City.

He signed for then-Northern Premier side Marine AFC in December 2018 and made 14 appearances and scored one goal before being injured in March which saw him miss the rest of the campaign.

Ford is a 23-year-old Macclesfield-born forward who joins Trafford from Gibraltar National League side Bruno Magpies.

He moved to the Rock in the summer of 2019 after being on the books with Trafford`s sadly now defunct league rivals Droylsden.

He had signed for the Bloods from North West Counties Leaguers Padiham and is an exciting and skilful player with a keen eye for goal.
