Horsfield
has been training with the club since the return of action, playing against
Cefn Druids, Salford City and AFC Telford United as a triallist.
And
the former Manchester City academy graduate has now put pen-to-paper on a
permanent switch to the Racecourse, having first impressed on loan last season,
despite only playing three matches before suffering a serious knee injury.
Whilst
on City`s books, Horsfield had loan spells with Doncaster Rovers and Dutch Eredivisie
club NAC Breda, who he joined on a more permanent basis in the summer of 2017.
He
returned to England a year later and signed for Scunthorpe United, for whom he
made 11 appearances and was loaned to Scottish side Dundee and then Wrexham.
