Goalkeeper Riccardo Longato, a product of the Tigers academy, has re-joined for this coming season.

The 19-year-old started his career at USD Sestri Levante in the Italian fourth tier before moving to England as part of Rochdale`s football education scheme.

He joined Hyde United and was named on the first-team bench half a dozen times as back up to Peter Crook while on dual-registration from Rochdale.

He won the 2018/19 Manchester FA Challenge Trophy with East Manchester and joined then-League Two side Macclesfield Town in 2019 as part of their under-21 side.

Defender, Andy Hollins, who was previously at Colne and Southport before that, has signed, and forward Darius Palma joins from Curzon Ashton.

Hollins is a 21-year-old towering defender who signed for NPL Division One North West club Colne on a permanent basis in July 2019.

He spent the end of the 2018/19 season on loan with the Reds from Vanarama National League North side Southport.

Liverpool-born, he spent time at Liverpool and Everton as well as at Stoke City and Rochdale.

After joining Port in July 2018, he was sent out on loan to Marine AFC for the first part of the season and then out to Droylsden and Colne.

Palma (pictured) is a 21-year-old wide player who signed for National League North club Curzon Ashton in August 2020 from NPL Division One North West side Trafford.

He had been with Trafford since January 2018, having arrived from National League side Altrincham.

He had joined Altrincham in July 2016 and went on to spend two years with the Robins before making the move across Greater Manchester to Trafford.

While at Moss Lane, he also enjoyed a short-term loan spell with Kidsgrove Athletic.

He has also fought at elite level in kickboxing competitions from the age of 6 and has since gone on to register over 15 professional fights, winning at least 10 of those.

McGurk told https://hydeunited.co.uk: “Andy, or triallist A as he’s been known, has been with us all of pre-season. We wanted him in early doors, but he was contracted with Colne. He’s got all the attributes to be a big player for us and I’m sure our fans will be happy to see him sign after his performances in pre-season.

“Darius comes in from Curzon and is a player I’ve always liked. He’s quick, direct and will provide us with more options at the top end of the pitch. He’s another one who will excite the fans.

“Riccardo is a brilliant lad and is going to be a top goalkeeper. His improvement under Chris has been plain to see. Craig Ellison may go out on dual registration and Riccardo will provide cover on matchdays”.
