Johnson has played for the likes of Hastings United, Herne Bay and East Grinstead Town where he played under current Ramsgate manager Matt Longhurst.

He spent most of last season focusing on his Sunday football for the well supported SE Dons side.

The 28-year-old left-footed playmaker is everything Longhurst has been searching for over the last month to add mobility to the Rams midfield.

He told https://www.ramsgate-fc.co.uk: “We have been looking at a certain type of player to fit the style we adhere to as a club and Lefty fits that perfectly.” Announced Longhurst.

“I’m delighted to welcome him to the club. At East Grinstead I wanted to keep him, but he moved on to Herne Bay. I’m glad I can work with him again.

“He created a lot of goals for me with his range of passing and his ability on the ball”.
