John Dodd, Mitch Woakes and Kieron Dawes all of whom have been on trial here during the summer have agreed to join the squad whilst we have agreed terms with League Two side Port Vale to bring in exciting young full back Ryan Campbell-Gordon on loan.

Birmingham born Dodd, 24, is a versatile midfielder who previously worked with Andy Morrell during his days at Tamworth.

Dodd began his career at Cheltenham Town before moving on to link up with Tamworth under-21s.

He then played first team football with the likes of West Midlands (Regional) League side Bilston Town and Midland League Division One outfit Paget Rangers before making the step back up linking up with the Pitmen where he has impressed during pre-season.

Dawes joins having begun his career with Birmingham City.

He was actually on loan with the Pitmen for a brief spell two years ago before further loans at the likes of Southern Division One Central side Coleshill Town.

He spent time with both Watford and West Ham United on trial last season and the 21-year-old attacking right back arrives at Hednesford having spent a short trial spell with good performances from him away to Chasetown and at home to Basford United during pre-season.

Speedy winger Mitchell Woakes is the third arrival at the PRG Stadium after the 19-year-old spent pre-season on trial with the Pitmen. Beginning his career with Walsall as a youngster he also moved on to Nottingham Forest as part of their academy set up.

Woakes then spent two years with League One Burton Albion before moving on to the Pitmen`s league rivals Tamworth where he also spent time loan at Midland League Division Two outfit Coton Green.

Finally, a deal has been agreed with Port Vale to allow their highly rated youngster Ryan Campbell-Gordon to join on loan until January 2021.

The 19-year-old left back is very highly thought of at Vale Park and has already made his senior debut for the Valiants 12 months ago.

Campbell-Gordon had two successful loan spells last season as he joined Northern Premier League Division One South East side Ilkeston Town in September before signing for their league rivals Kidsgrove Athletic at the beginning of 2020.

Additional to all of the new arrivals, young striker Oli Waddison has gone out on loan to Midland League Premier Division side AFC Bridgnorth to continue his development.
