The
28-year-old, who was formerly part of the Leeds United academy in 2008, signed
a deal with the Gingerbreads ahead of the first game of the season against
Morpeth Town on Saturday.
Watson
has been on trial with the Gingerbreads so far this season, featuring in almost
every game and as one of the stand-out performers, will now become a permanent
member of the squad.
The
Gingerbreads have also added promising attacking midfielder Manasse Kianga from
Rossington Main.
The
18-year-old signs after spending time on trial at the Gingerbreads during the
course of pre-season, where he has featured in the squad and has performed well
enough to be a part of manager Martin McIntosh’s plans ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Kianga
impressed during his time at Rossington Main, where he found the net 3 times in
his debut season and will be looking to build on and improve his record as he
makes the step-up from the Northern Counties East Football League Division One. |
