Guyton recently replaced Alex Salmon, who surprisingly quit Basildon just before the start of
the new season.
A
former Bowers & Pitsea under-23 boss, Guyton has wasted little time in
strengthening his squad.
He
has brought in midfielder Sam Girling from league rivals Grays Athletic.
Girling
joined Grays in December 2019 from another Isthmian North outfit, AFC Sudbury.
He
had come through the Yellows` academy and reserve sides and made a handful of
first-team appearances, mainly in the Velocity Trophy.
He
added 8 senior games to his tally with Grays in 2019/20 before lockdown.
Guyton`s
other new recruit is a familiar face for him in wide midfielder Tyrone Baker.
Baker
moves to United from rivals Heybridge Swifts but had been helped in his development
by Guyton in Bowers & Pitsea`s under-23 side.
