The 35-year-old has a wealth of experience, having clocked up well over 500 senior appearances, playing in the Premier League down to the Vanarama National League.

He enjoyed spells at Watford, Sheffield United and Colchester United, in particular, where he was part of the U’s side that were promoted to the Championship in 2006.

He enjoyed an incredible 2018/19 season with National League play-off contenders Eastleigh, where he registered 26 assists in their league campaign.

Eastleigh narrowly missed out on a trip to Wembley, after losing on penalties in the semi-final to the eventually promoted Salford City, in a game where Yeates set up the equaliser.

He moved to the Spitfires league rivals AFC Fylde in June 2019 before being released by the Coasters at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
