Experienced midfielder Gareth Simpson moves from league rivals Mildenhall Town.
Simpson returned to Recreation Way for a fourth spell in the summer of 2015 and went on to become a key part of Dean Greygoose's successful side.
After helping Mildenhall to win the Thurlow Nunn League Challenge Cup in 2016, the following campaign he cleaned up at the club's end of season awards as the team secured a league and cup `double`.
He stayed put for Mildenhall's first ever season at Step 4 in 2017/18 but has now opted to move on for a fresh challenge.
Simpson`s other previous clubs include Norwich City, Gillingham, Cambridge City, AFC Sudbury, Needham Market and Wroxham.
Chenery told www.burytownfc.co.uk: "I am very pleased Gareth is joining us. He will bring us valuable experience in what is a young team and his team-mates will benefit from that. He had a good season at this level last season and had other options, but he wanted to join us which is pleasing. I am excited by the players we have brought in over the summer and soon they will get the chance to play together as we begin to get ready for the new season”. |
