Morrell was appointed in April, arriving with an impressive track record having taken Wrexham to two Wembley appearances in 2013, winning the Buildbase FA Trophy as well as finishing runners up in the Vanarama National League play-off final.

He then took Tamworth from second bottom in the National League North to just missing out on the play-offs which included a twelve-game winning streak.

However, this season has seen the Pitmen draw one and lose three of their four league games, including Tuesday night`s 3-0 home defeat to Coalville Town, and exit the Emirates FA Cup to Division One Central side Halesowen Town.
