SkyBet League Two Exeter City got their pre-season underway with an emphatic 6-0 win at Vanarama National League South side Truro City at Treyew Road.

 

The Grecians goals came from Jonathan Forte with a brace, Hiram Boateng, Jack Sparkes Matt Jay and Jayden Stockley.

 

The White Tigers` league rivals St Albans City won 4-2 at Spartan South Midlands League neighbours London Colney.

 

All four of the Saints` goals came from trialists.

 

National League North outfit Boston United continued their pre-season preparations with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Evo-Stik Northern Premier League East side Tadcaster Albion.

 

The Pilgrims prevailed courtesy of an 85th-minute strike from the unnamed trialist – the same one who netted a penalty in last week's 3-2 defeat at Basford United.

 

The Pilgrims` league rivals Bradford Park Avenue were beaten 3-0 at the Horsfall Stadium by League Two Mansfield Town.

 

Lee Angol bagged a brace for the Stags, with Jacob Mellis adding the other.

 

Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division new boys North Ferriby United won their derby at home to Toolstation Northern Counties East Leaguers Hall Road Rangers 3-2.

 

Goals from, James Nicholls, Kent Bannister and Luke Lofts for Ferriby with Martin Jones` brace replying.

 

Ferriby`s new league rivals Buxton overcame Hallmark Security Leaguers Barnoldswick Town 3-1.

 

Jude Oyibo, Callum Chippendale from the penalty spot and Ryan McDermott were the Bucks marksmen.

 

Evo-Stik Southern League South side Chesham United claimed The Amersham Town Challenge Cup by beating Spartan South Midlands League Division One outfit Amersham Town.

 

Dave Pearce and a trialist were the Generals` scorers.

 

Chesham`s new league rivals Hendon enjoyed an emphatic 9-1 win at Silver Jubilee Park against Spartan South Midlands Leaguers Edgware Town.

 

As well as trialists scoring, Tarique Hunt netted a hat-trick, Adam Martin and former Kettering Town favourite Rene Howe also hit the mark for the Greens.

 

Another Southern League South side, Merthyr Town, were beaten 1-0 at Penydarren Park by Briton Ferry Llansawel.

 

Lee Bevan scored the only goal for the Welsh League visitors.

 

Southern League Central hosts Lowestoft Town ran out 4-0 winners against Anglian Combination Premier League neighbours Waveney.

 

Cion Wren, Ish Fatajio, Travis Cole and Jacek Zielonka scored for the Trawlerboys.

 

Lowestoft`s league rivals Royston Town suffered a defeat by the same scoreline at Garden Walk against League Two side Cambridge United.

 

A Reggie Lambe brace and an Ade Azeez header in the second half and an own goal in the first period sealed the U`s victory.

 

Another Southern Central side, Alvechurch, were held to a 1-1 draw at West Midlands (Regional) Leaguers Malvern Town.

 

Josh Hunt gave the hosts the lead and a trialist levelled for `Church.

 

Ebac Northern League First Division Dunston UTS beat NL Second Division Birtley Town 3-1.

 

The Dunston goals came from Jak Stafford from the spot, Jordan Nellis and Dan Capewell.

 

Dunston`s league rivals Bishop Auckland beat Birtley`s league rivals Durham City 1-0 with a goal from Michael Hoganson after 37 minutes.

 

Goals from Ernold Haxhiv, Lawrence Hammond, Bradley McClenaghan and Beuyoucef gave a youthful Leyton Orient side a 4-0 win at Essex Senior League Hullbridge Sports.
