Striker
Courtney Austin joins the Hawks from league rivals FC Romania to strengthen the
forward line.
Austin
has also featured for Chalfont St Peter and Hanwell Town, as well as scoring 13
goals in as many games for Spartan South Midlands League Division One side New
Salamis in the curtailed 2019/20 campaign.
The
Hawks have also signed Albert Perry from Isthmian North outfit Witham Town.
He
is an attacking player who can play in a number of positions and will add
strength to the Harlow midfield.
He
started the season at Basildon United, where he also played during the 2019/20
season.
Harlow
have also confirmed the arrival of two players on loan from SkyBet League Two
side Leyton Orient in Anthony Papadopoulos and Tristan Francois-Vernal, who
have both joined the Hawks on `work experience`.
Papadopoulos
plays in midfield, while Francois-Vernal
is a defender, and both players made their first appearances for the Hawks last
weekend against Hertford Town.
Another
new face who came off the bench against Hertford was Jake Nickless.
He
is an attacking midfielder who joined the club from Billericay Town, where he
started the 2020/21 campaign.
Nickless
is best known for a prank he made as a 5-year-old!
He
joined from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side North Greenford
United.
He
also spent time with Billericay`s league rivals Dulwich Hamlet a year or so
earlier, but is best known for a joke played on the then-Liverpool skipper
Steven Gerrard back in February 2006 when he was a mascot with reigning Premier
League champions Chelsea as they came up against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
When
Gerrard walked down the stairs, Chelsea fan Nickless extended his arm to greet
the player. But moments later, in a soon-to-be viral moment, Nickless left the
England international hanging in mid-air. The video of the comical moment has
since been watched nearly 6.5million times online!
Re-joining
the club is Jeremie Sivi, who has also featured for the Hawks in the previous
two games.
Sivi (pictured) initially joined the club on loan from Leyton Orient in December 2019, and
after departing Orient in the summer he has once again signed for the Hawks this
campaign. |
