Vastly
experienced goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson (pictured) joins Rammy from NPL Premier Division
side Scarborough Athletic.
The
27-year-old had moved to Boro in August 2020 from league rivals Gainsborough
Trinity.
He
started playing football with his Yorkshire home-town club Rothwell and was
linked with Huddersfield Town from the age of 10.
At
the age of 16 he rose to the first team subs bench and made his debut in May
2016.
He
was released by Huddersfield at the end of the 2015/16 season and signed for
Chesterfield after which he joined FC United of Manchester in July 2017, having
a loan spell with Nantwich Town towards the end of the 2018/19 season.
He
moved to Guiseley AFC in August 2019 but moved on to NPL Premier Division side
Ashton United just two months later, making the switch to Trinity a month
later.
Left-sided
defender Paul Dugdale has also checked into the Riverside.
The
32-year-old began his career after signing for Kendal Town following a
footballing spell in Australia with Swans United.
He
signed for Glossop North End midway through the 2016/17 season for their
promotion push, becoming a vital part of their defensive unit, before being
snapped up by Lancaster City in May 2017.
He
joined Rammy`s league rivals Clitheroe in the summer of 2019 and then returned
to Lancaster in July 2020.
Eddie
Cooper returns to Rammy having only moved to North West Counties Leaguers Wythenshawe
Town in August.
The
central midfielder played an integral role in Ramsbottom’s promotion push last
season before being devastatingly cut short by the Coronavirus pandemic but
that has only whetted his appetite for success further.
Cooper’s
stock has risen over the years, reaching the heights of the FA Vase Final at
Wembley with Glossop North End in 2015 – agonisingly missing out to North
Shields by the narrowest of margins. |
