The agreement ensures the club`s future financial stability enabling it to move forward to the next level, both on and off the pitch.

The consortium led by Nigel Grant will work alongside Chris Gallimore and Martin Laws under a new Board of Directors to help deliver a five-year plan.

The plan sets out goals and attainable targets that will benefit the first-team squad, youth set up, and also the club`s facilities and community engagement.

City have also announced several new signings.

Defender Matt Hancock joins having had experience in the Bostik League Premier with Metropolitan Police.

Twenty-four-year-old striker Olly Taylor joins as something of a coup signing for City.

He played 6 games for Wycombe Wanderers` senior side until being released by the Chairboys at the end of the 2012/13 season.

Since then he has turned out in the Vanarama National League for Woking and in the Southern League for Frome Town, Chippenham Town and Dorchester Town.

Midfielder Jack Powell joins having previously seen service with Didcot Town and Wantage Town in the Southern League.

The son of former Oxford United favourite Paul Powell, Jack started out on the U`s books as a youngster.

Hard-working midfielder Jamie Connor has also signed with City for the 2018/19 season.

Previously with Reading Town, he has also worn the colours of Maidenhead United, Aylesbury FC, Uxbridge, Ashford Town (Middx) and Thame United.

They follow the arrival of 20-year-old defender Alfie Grant.
