Sterry,
24, was released by the Premier League side in the summer having made 12 senior
appearances for the Magpies.
The
full-back also has League experience with loan spells at Crewe Alexandra and
Coventry City and has signed for the Mariners having trained with the club in
recent weeks.
Sterry
is joined at Mariners Park by Barrow AFC striker Jack Hindle.
The
26-year-old has joined on loan from the SkyBet League Two new boys until January
2021.
Hindle (pictured) first came to prominence playing with Radcliffe and he had a four-year stint at
Stainton Park, including a spell as skipper, split by a brief spell with 1874
Northwich.
He
joined Colwyn Bay in the summer of 2017 and enjoyed a good season with then
with 13 goals.
He
joined Barrow in May 2018 and played his part in helping them win promotion to
League Two. |
