Striker Jake Newman arrives from league rivals Bedford Town having also signed dual forms with Uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division outfit Desborough Town, for who he bagged a brace last Saturday.

The much-travelled 29-year-old had been with the Eagles since January 2020 after joining from neighbours Kempston Rovers, where he had started last season.

The proven goalscorer at Steps 3 and 4 level has also consistently found the net with his previous sides, including 34 goals in 51 appearances for Kempston and 27 goals in 57 appearances spread over two spells with AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

His other previous clubs include AFC Stamford, Spalding United, Wellingborough Town, Oadby Town, Kettering Town, St Ives Town and Peterborough Sports.

Midfielder Ashton Grant re-joins AFC from Southern Premier Division Central outfit Royston Town.

The 23-year-old had signed for the Crows in September having spent the 2019/20 season split between AFC Dunstable and Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division outfit Biggleswade United.

He started out at Barton Rovers and has also been on the books at Crawley Green, Dunstable Town and Bedford Town.

Another midfielder, Charlie Pattison (pictured), has also moved to Creasey Park.

Pattison joined the MK Dons' academy at under-9 level, progressing through various age groups and into the club's development squad, eventually going on to captain the club's under-18s.

In September 2018, whilst still an academy player, Pattison featured for the first team against Peterborough United in an EFL Trophy group stage fixture.

Following a spell on loan with AFC`s league rivals Welwyn Garden City, Pattison signed professional terms with the Dons in June 2019.

During last season, he enjoyed short spells on loan with Southern Premier Division Central sides Kings Langley and Biggleswade Town. However, at the conclusion of the campaign, Pattison was one of nine players released from the Dons.
