The
Ambers brought in Mitchell Beeney from league rivals Lewes, for whom he made
just the one appearance.
The
son of former Maidstone United, Leeds United and England C international keeper
Mark Beeney, he started his career with Gillingham and won 4 England under-19
caps whilst at the Priestfield Stadium but moved with brother Jordan to Chelsea
in 2007.
Although
he didn`t make the Blues` senior side, he did have loan spells with Newport
County, where he made his professional debut, Crawley Town and League of
Ireland side Sligo Rovers.
After
being released by Chelsea in the summer of 2018, he returned to Ireland to sign
for Sligo on a more permanent basis.
In
December 2019, he returned to England and signed a short-term deal with
Vanarama National League outfit Hartlepool United, for whom he made 6 appearances
before lockdown. |
