The
club made the following statement on Wednesday that they have parted ways with manager
Matthews and his assistant Michno by mutual consent.
Matthews
joined the club as joint manager earlier this year and got the job on a
permanent basis in the summer.
McCalmon
was a huge part of Kidington’s recent success in becoming a Southern League
side in 2016 as assistant manager - the first time the club had reached that
level.
He
then took over as manager and remained for over 150 games in charge.
He
then moved to North Leigh at the beginning of the year, becoming part of the
Southern League’s side management team there.
He
has also managed Abingdon Town, and McCalmon is not a new face to Ardley
either, having played for the side in the past.
Chairman
Ian Feaver told https://www.ardleyunitedfc.co.uk:
"Lee and David will be sadly missed by all at the club. Lee was the
ultimate professional and doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. I wish Lee and
David all the best for the future and thank them for their huge efforts at
Ardley. They will always be welcome here and we remain good friends.
“I
am very excited at having Jules on board as our new manager. He is a proven and
successful manager at this level and will lead us to achieving our ambitions.
He has the full support of everyone involved with the club”. |
