The 33-year-old was heading for Macclesfield Town in the summer after leaving National League side Stockport County, but after the sad demise of the Silkmen, he signed for Chorley in September 2020.

A cultured player, he moved to Stockport from Salford City in June 2017 on a two-year deal.

He has enjoyed a glittering non-League career including back-to-back promotions at Curzon Ashton and an FA Trophy victory at Wembley during his time at FC Halifax Town.

He started as a youngster at Oldham Athletic before joining Woodley Sports, but his career took off during four years at Curzon: 41 goals, more than 200 appearances and captaining the side to successive promotions, prompting a move to Halifax and he returned to The Nash on loan for three months in 2018/19.
