Having
already snapped up Omarr Lawson and Leon Redwood since taking the Hawks` helm,
new boss Ross Standen has now added Charlie Coppola to his squad.
Coppola
is a 21-year-old winger or forward who came through the ranks at Isthmian
Premier Division side Lewes, where he played under Standen for a time.
Once
described as the `new Jamie Vardy`, Coppola had trials with Leicester City as a
16-year-old as well as with Millwall and Bristol City.
He
made over 100 appearances for the Rooks in a five-year spell, despite combining
his playing time with studying for a career in medicine at Warwick University.
An
English Colleges representative, he moved to Lewes` league rivals Horsham in
August 2020. |
