Carney Makes Gladiators Switch
Paul Phillips, manager of Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club Matlock Town has added to his attacking options by bringing in midfielder Craig Carney.

The 27-year-old experienced and creative midfielder joins the Gladiators from league rivals Warrington Town, who he joined in August.

 

He started out as a youngster at Southport and has played for Kendal Town, Bamber Bridge, Northwich Victoria, Squires Gate and Lancaster City.

 

He made 47 appearances for the Marine AFC in 2018/19, scoring 7 goals and then signed for FC United of Manchester in May 2019.

 

He joined NPL Division One North West side Clitheroe in October 2019.
