The 25-year-old comes from National League neighbours AFC Fylde after being captain and making over 100 appearances for the Coasters.

He has collected numerous accolades along the way since his initial loan spell from Wigan Athletic back in early 2014.

Warrington born, Langley is a calm and collected defender who is confident with the ball at his feet.

Langley told https://southportfc.net: “I can’t wait for the season to start and get playing for the club. The changes they are making is not only exciting but something I want to be a part of. There’s a good team already in place and everyone I’ve met have been fantastic”.
