City Borrow Cards Centre-Back

Vanarama National League South club Oxford City have signed defender Ben Gerring on a month`s loan from National League side Woking.

A Cards fan-favourite, the centre-back is seeking immediate game time after returning to fitness following an injury picked up in pre-season.

The 29-year-old joined Woking in October 2018 after helping lead his Truro City side to a National League South play-off place during the 2017/18 season.

His performances earned him a move to free-spending Billericay Town during the summer of 2018, but opportunities proved to be limited and by September 2018 he was back on loan with his former club.

Following the completion of his latest spell with the Cornish club he settled on a move to the Laithwaite Community Stadium to help Woking back to the National League via the play-offs in 2019.

As he isn`t cup-tied, he will feature for Oxford in their Emirates FA Cup Second Round tie against Shrewsbury Town this weekend.
